I bought an external hard disk and I would like to use it to archive drive image backups for my desktop PC and also for my laptop. Can I have two drive images of both PCs in one Acronis secure zone and will be able to distinguish which is which, in case of a disk crash, when I have to restore the whole PC to a brand new disk after the crash?

I really wouldn’t bother with the Secure Zone.
Make a folder called Laptop and one called Desktop. Set the tasks to dump the image files into their respective folders.

Agreed ... dump the SZ ... especially as you are using an external hard drive.

Hello mike.h,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/).

Please also take a look at this FAQ article (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/faq.html#25) explaining the reason why we do not recommend creating Acronis Secure Zone on a detachable drives.

You can find more information on how to use Acronis True Image 9.0 in the respective User's Guide (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/download/docs/).

If you have any further questions concerning Acronis software, please feel free to submit a request for technical support (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/support/) or post any of them on this forum. We will certainly try to help you in resolving any issues.

Thank you.
