Buster

Hi,
I have downloaded and was installing TDS-3 and have been presented with the following error.
Apparently this file has something to do with Visual Basic.
Anyone got any ideas how to get around this?
Thanks in advance

Hi Buster and welcome!
Which error you mean? TDS uses VB and in case you would miss some files or have older versions, you can check for the required system files and have the vb6sp5 runtimes via the same page at
http://tds.diamondcs.com.au/index.php?page=files
Hope this solves the problem.

Thanks Jooske,
Not my day...now I can't get the screen dump to display. Here's the text version:
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\msvbvm60.dll
An error occurred while trying to replace the existing file:
DeleteFile failed; code 5.
Access is denied.
Click Retry to try again, Ignore to skip this file (not recommended), or Abort to cancel installation.

Hi Jooske,
I just solved the problem, I closed one of my programs Pop Up Inspector and TDS-3 installed OK.
Sorry to clutter the forum with unnecessary threads. Appreciate your quick reply and help.
Thanks

Your text version is fine :)
Either continue the installation and ignore that file for this moment, but make sure you have every other program, antivirus and everything closed, so the file which might have been in use by another program can be replaced.
If this still doesn't work, continue the install ignoring that file for this moment or first go get the new vbrun6sp5 from the link i just posted, install it and install TDS again.
Let us know how it goes!

We crossposted! Glad you are ok now!
Enjoy the TDS and for extra fun add WormGuard and Port Explorer, take the whole lot there is to enjoy!
TDS, WG and PE all go rather deep so it's rather important with installing such programs to close all the other things, browsers, email programs, and always with every install the antivirus protections.
That's no cluttering up, forums are therefor which can help other users again too. We all learn from asking, answering and reading questions!
