View Full Version : Kerio lost all of it's rules - what's happening?

I had an odd occurence a week or so ago. Kerio started up normally, but would start asking me about applications wanting to access the net.

As these were basic apps (IE, and so on) that I had long since configured a rule for, I went to the admin interface.

I noticed that all my rules were gone. And I mean ALL.

Now, I'm not stupid enough to destroy them on my own. I don't have system instability. I don't have viruses. I had not re-installed Kerio or anything that might intervene.

I didn't really give it more though untill today my friend who runs Kerio 2.15 as well reported the exact same thing: all of his Kerio rules had been wiped out.

Is this a known bug or something else that I should be aware of?

regards,
Halcyon

This happens when your OS does not allow Kerio to finish writing its configuration to disk on shutdown, or the write cache has not completed finishing writing to your disk before your system turns off.

If you had never exported your ruleset, this is the perfect time to start making it again, and look at your administration options since you have always been able to export your ruleset. :)
