Follow this path to The Key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\
Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced
Create a new DWORD value, name it EnableBalloonTips, and set it equal to 0. If EnableBalloonTips is already there and equal to 1, set it equal to 0. Quit the registry editor, log off, and log back on. Voila! Your computer will stop talking down to you.

can't you just enable silent mode?

I meant just NOD32 popup, not all baloon popups...

The classic method of ticking the Enable Silent Mode in NOD32 setup doesn't work?
Or you want to turn off only the update ballon popup?

This should do it, but check your exact key as "Config" (in the key) may be different depending on your use of profiles.
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Eset\Nod\CurrentVersion\Modules\AMON\Settings\Config\Settings]
"autoupd_notify"=dword:00000000

I guess you rebooted so it would reread the registry?

Send me to the corner but since that is the HKLM key does that logged on user have Admin privileges which means it might not have stuck if they don't have :-\

You never did say if you tried SILENT MODE. Or are you after a registry hack?

Apart from silent mode, yes... All i want is get rid of popup, not put AV into silent mode... (i know it still shows malware warning dialogs but it won't show any other informative popup either). So no, i don't like silent mode...
This is workstation not remote admined client...

It's a feature that cannot be supported in the current version by design. You can either enable silent mode, or disable all baloon pop-ups.

None of these are an option. I hope you'll add this in NOD32 v3...

oh come on...... just stick a paper there where that baloon pop-up arise as not to see it anymore and that's all. ;D
