Having had problems with too many anti malware programs, and maybe incompatibilities, I am wondering if there is a list of programs that are not compatible with NOD?

My problem may have just been too many. It is on the Other AV forums here on
Wilders re Bit Defender if anyone wants to check.

Thanks,
Jerry

Not sure that the link you posted to the other thread is working.... regardless, and I'm not sure if this will help you, it is not recomimended to use more than one real-time scanner at the same time. In NOD32 this module is AMON.
A free 30 day trial is available for download. The trial download link is on this page -->HERE (http://www.nod32au.com/nod32/download/download.htm)<-- so you can check it out as much as you like for 30 days just to be safe :)

Thanks a lot. I may give it a try and I realize I must uninstall any other AV prior to trying it.
Sorry I did not post the link to the other thread. Here it is.

I haven't had any compatibility issues with Nod32 whatsoever.

I run nod32 scanning on my systems in compatibility mode - and have NEVER had a problem. I know compatibility mode is there for the odd occasion it's needed, but I'm too busy to work out if I have one of those situations, so run it that way all the time.

Are you suggesting that users of NOD should not run ANY (anti-spyware, anti-trojan, etc.) product that scans in RT in conjunction with NOD...but instead run NOD only?

I'm guessing that several people do run these products alongside NOD without any problems....I've seen many post here in these forums that seem to indicate as much. I've always ran an AV alongside other real-time scanners (spyware, trojans, etc.) without any problem, so I'd definitely be interested in hearing a little more about this....

Hi folks, FYI-I have run A Squared Personal along with Nod32 V2 with no problems(apparent)for a long while now.Just my 2 cents.(I'm sure others here have done the same)

I run NOD with BOClean and Windows Defender running in the background also.
No problems at all, they all play well with each other :)

Many other types of protection have no known compatability issues, but there are a couple that operate in such a way as to causes problems when running alongside almost all AV solutions. In simple terms the issue is most commonly that the two real-time applications fight over who is going to scan the file - each telling the other to waits it's turn and sometimes they can't sort that out between themselves.
Hope that clarification helps
Cheers :)

Thanks, I may not have been clear, but I never have used more than one AV scanner. The others shown were only on-demand scanners, and really on-line scanners that I just left on the desktop so they would be easily accessed.

I never had any problem when I used them to scan. The problem I had occurred when none were active.

I've never had any problems myself when running 2 AVs with one of them disabled for ondemand scanning, but it is generally recommended to completely uninstall the other and just have one.

The one problem I had in the past was with AVG and another AV. Even though AVG was not active, I found that I could not get my email. Uninstalling AVG solved that problem.

I am not too bright, and sometime later I did the same with AVG and a different AV. The same thing happened, and I concluded that somehow there was a conflict even though AVG was not active at the time.

I can only stand so many from the "School of Hard Kncks" and I learn.;D ;D

Maybe that is what I have done in this experience. >:(
