Maybe I'm blind....I read the article over & over and don't see where you can run Vista without a video card ???

Maybe I got phished on the link......but, my Vista doesn't run without video hardware, or, I can't see if it is running ;)

i hope not!

Just see it, about Vista Home Basic.

This version offers the new security and search capabilities of Vista, however doesn’t support media support or “glass” graphics that are part of Vista’s Aero user interface.

So all the fuss is about aero glass that need dedicated graphics memory( 128MB or so). When you don,t use this aeroglass, you don,t need a high end GPU. all this I mean.
