Just getting started with TI9.0 and have a couple of questions.
How do I tell what build # I have?
I have XP SP2 with Roxio easy CD creator 5 Will I be able to use this setup
to back up to a DVD? What is a UDF?
The instructions to back up to a DVD, are a little vague.
Can some one help me?
Thanks in advance
Jim

Hello Jim,
You will find the build # under Help > About.
About copying the image files onto DVD, see Menorcaman's post here (http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showpost.php?p=691220&postcount=11)

Hi again Jim,
I forgot to mention before: you should read Menorcaman's clarification in relation to the pertinent item (Imaging to DVD - or something to that effect) that you will find in the FAQs.
Found it! http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/faq.html#27

WOW this is getting a little complcated for me. I want to make a backup
of my whole system, maybe the easy way is to use cds.
I purchased 9.0 at Fry's electronics and got a cd in the package. I think
I read some place I could use this cd as a recovery disc or do I need
to make one?
Is there a way to check the cds before you use the recovery program
as I don't want to write over my HD and find out there was and error
and lose everything?
Thanks for all your help.

Hi again Jim,

So, best to visit the Acronis web site, create an account, register your current build of TI and then download the update. There is a problem with Build 2337's installer that requires you to uninstall any previous version/build first via Windows Control Panel's "Add or Remove Programs". Once the latest build is installed, you should use it to create a new bootable rescue CD.
