the link above is in the FAQ's for DDS 10.0 and does not seem to address the question:
Does Acronis Disk Director Suite allow one to convert one file system to another?
My big mistake for just accepting the 'Yes,...'
Please explain...and fix the FAQ... seems I may have wasted my $50...

Sounds easy enough - but... how?
Seems like the only thing DDS will do is Change the Partition Type.
Please elaborate...???

Hello hart,
Thank you for your interest in Acronis Partition and Disk Managing Software (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/diskdirector/).
Please accept our apologies for the delay with the response.
Please be aware that Acronis Disk Director Suite 10.0 allows you to convert a file system of a partition in the following way:
- Start Acronis Disk Director Suite 10.0;
- Select the View -> Manual mode;
- Choose the partition which you want to change the file system of;
- Select the Disk -> Advanced -> Convert.
Please read the section 4.2.2 of Acronis Disk Director Suite 10.0 User's Guide (http://download.acronis.com/pdf/DiskDirectorSuite10.0_ug.en.pdf). It describes what file systems are allowed to be converted.
Please also take alook at this previous post of mine (http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showpost.php?p=657128&postcount=2). I think it may be helpful for you.
Thank you.
