auto update?

New to TDS3(registered)

When does program auto update?. I open and check for trojans daily but then have to click 'check for update'. Auto is enabled

It should do monday and friday, but i click daily myself so never noticed on my system if it would autoupdate, seems it does for those who don't click!

You might want to make a batchfile with this content:


AT 12:30 /every:M,T,W,Th,F c:\at\TDS3\update.exe

Place the file in your startupfolder and your updates will be automatic
You have to adjust the filepath and according your location, the time (those items in bold)

Yep,auto-update always works for me on Mon.& Fri. ;)

If memory serves, by default it only automatically updates (ie. launches update.exe) on Mondays and Fridays, but you can have update.exe launch at any hour of any day by using Windows Task Scheduler, or the command prompt's AT command as Dollefie demonstrated

Think it's nice to tell HOW to create a batch file with that content?

Save As:
TDSUpdate.bat or GimmyMyUpdateNOW.bat ;D

If you want to know the time to ajust go to the Update Alerts section of this board and look at the time Gavin announces his daily updates
