IMON not scanning Incoming mail in Eudora 6.0 Beta

As the topic says the NOD32 2 is not scanning any mail that is coming via Eudora 6.0 Beta but it scans via outlook. I went to setup in IMON and click on repair connection in the advanced menu then I restarted the system but to no avail.
Any Help will be appreciated since I like Eudora over Outlook.

Well I don't really care about Outlook, but yes I am talking about Outlook Express 6 that comes with WindowsXP. That one works.
But the program I care about is Eudora 6 Beta and that one doesn't get scanned.

I've had a similar problem. The number of files scanned in Imon always shows zero. In my case, I am using Becky e-mail, but it is chained to K-9 spamfilter, which actually fetches the mail. K-9 fetches mail on port 110 of the mail server, but communicates on port 9999 with Becky. Whether I set the port used by pop3 protocol to 110 or 9999 makes no difference. The files scanned stays at zero.

But K9 will use port 110 to work with pop server and incoming mail should be checked.

e-mail way will be

pop server -> imon -> k9 -> your e-mail client

You can specify what ports should IMON scan (NOC Control panel -> IMON -> Settings -> Ports used by POP3).

I have mapped ports (1101, 1102, 1103) and all mails are scanned...

Hopefully this issue will be addressed soon since not everyone is using Outlook as their mail client.
the Eudora ports are random from 1040-1080 when looking via comview thus I somehow don 't feel like specifying 40 ports, NOD32 should scan which mailclient I am using and then configure itself correctly.

Ok so I have IMON configured to scan ports 110, 1068-1080, Comview showed Eudora communicateing through 110 and 1072 while retreaving my mails but IMON still showed 0 Mails scanned. Come on I won't to have a reliable mail scanner especially in today's worm infested society.

Hopefully I will get an answer soon.

The answer for K9 is not to use 110, but use 9999, which K9 uses for communication with the e-mail program. I now show IMON scanning files when I download through K9. ;D I guess I just didn't wait long enough to give it a chance earlier.

Checking the K9 log file shows that e-mail clients use ports in the 1750-1850 range but all messages must eventually pass through 127.0.0.1:9999. Port 110 shows up only on the remote machine, so it is irrelevant for Imon scanning.

While we're waiting for a real solution to your Eudora problem, testg, you can use K9 to create a workaround. If you install K9, you know the messages will pass through port 9999, so Imon can check them at that point. In addition, you'll have some spam control (after you train K9). Not a great solution :-\ unless you learn to love K9. If you want to try it, K9 is at http://keir.net/k9.html

I just won't want any other spam control tools to take up my resources, the reason why I like Eudora 6 is because it comes with a free spam filtering software integrated into the mail program and it doesn't have as many vulnerbilities as Outlook Xpres.
