Acronis True Image Version 9, Build 2337 was released January 05, 2006, and by January 7th there were bugs reported as in this thread http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=114434&highlight=version, and Acronis Support replied back on January 7th the following post in that same thread:

"Hello Menorcaman,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

We really appreciate for your evaluation of the latest build of Acronis True Image 9.0.

Please note that we have already reported the issues with Acronis True Image 9.0 mentioned above to our Development Team and they will try to fix them as soon as possible. I'm sorry but at the moment the exact time-frame for that is not decided yet.

If you have any further experience to share, please feel free to post it on this forum.

Thank you.

Well, I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hoping it's because the new build is undergoing proper and thorough testing. If it prevents a repeat of the farce we had with earlier releases then I, for one, am prepared to wait a bit longer.

Regards

Amen, to that. B2337 is very stable for me. Not looking for changes that cause issues.:)

Without divulging any agreements, ( I really can't, so don't ask) I can assure you that it is being vigourously tested. Having read the threads in here of some of the problems, the new build will have solved them.

(To mention a few)
I am not aware of ACRONIS's timetable, but the wait will be worth it.

No, I do not work for Acronis, and this is not trolling on my part.

Cheers :)

i too hope the next build is being tested well. i was hoping that since it seems to be taking so long, maybe we are in for a treat, and Acronis is going to make available the abilty to write directly to dvd's as they said would be implemented in version 9. time will tell.

Let’s just hope it doesn’t turn into a new Version. $$$
