Well, my view is that you canīt rely on just one engine, thatīs why I will never become a fan of an AV/AT/AS, I mean what good is it if it canīt recognize all malware? Just look at Jotti and VirusTotal how many malware is being missed even by the more popular apps. This is a problem that obvious will never be solved so itīs best to scan all of your files at VirusTotal, practice safe HEX and rely on your HIPS. ;)

Yeah there's quite a few typos in there actually...however, mostly just typos....the grammar is done quite well.

It is an interesting article, but has been on the site for at least a year... Some (if not most) of the stuff is not the case anymore.
