I subimit a very dangerous trojan file to 4 antivirus Lab, nod32, kav, bitdefender, and mcafee, they all added the signature some days after and bitdefender has still not added the file, so i contacted the bitdefender lab, and they answered: {QUOTE-> Well, to answer in short:
- virus_submission is a low priority list. If you want quick answers and to make sure that the files are being added you should subimit the files to support list. support@bitdefender.com <-QUOTE}
And thats real bad because when i subimit the file to support they recommend to subimit the files to virus_submission, but actually the best thing to do is maybe to send them to support@bitdefender.com
I am currently using kav,nod32,bitdefender on my computer.
so anyone?

you did not understand my question again :) ?
lol :o
The file is saved on my desktop still no detection from bitdefender
but from these other three av it is detected
they recommend to subimit all files to support@bitdefender.com
but i thought it was virus_submission , but they told me that its a small chance that they will be added into the signature if i subimit to virus_submission.
And how can you know which file it is? and if it is detected by bitdefender? :wacko:

Send it to both adresses. ;D Is this file not being picked up by Bitdefender ver 8(free version) ? If so, I wonder if it's being detected by BD9's HIVE?

If you have the file saved on your desktop and you are not infected by it, why bother them to add it urgently? just delete the file ;D .
If everyone would submit files to the support, the peoples which are really currently infected by malware and need an answer/cure immediatly would not get it soon because everyone sends the samples to the support.
also the files send on virus_submission are processed, but the viruslab decides is they are high or low priority, maybe they know your address and know that files you submit are not that urgent as others (as you are not currently infected by those files).:P

What IBK makes sense but you can also {if you want} send a copy in uncompressed form to avsubmit@symantec.com -- thanks & good luck! ;)
