3. I've sign for those free samples that would be sent through mail..
2. I've signed up for free ipod, scholarship, free computer games deals..
1. the most stupidest thing was when i was at some random website and there was a flashing banner that said "You won, you are the millionth visitor" and so on, my prize was a 'free boat trip', I had 90 minutes to call to get the prize, so I grabbed my mom she called the number (900 number), they asked for confirmation code, she told them, and then they hung up! never heard from them again
I'm still waiting for my free boat trip... ::)

I configured my gmail to outlook,
Then I installed g-drive or smt.. showing your gmail as a harddisk.
Well then I decided to put my pictures to this gdrive. I dragged and dropped all the pictures (about 2 GB) to this drive and left the PC alone. When I came back, I saw that all the pictures I put to gdrive was downloaded by outlook.

1.) at the time i got my yahoo address, i was young, i had no idea of spam, and i rele believed in free stuff. i would constantly put my email into any ad or popup that offers prizes. at least yahoo spamguard is 99% effective :P ive also started receiving spam in my gmail address but im not too certain of teh source :-\
2.) i configured outlook + yahoopops for my addy. one time my dad took me to a soccer game and i left the pc unattended. i had a utility that would send outlook to the tray and well my mom read my email... :lurking:
3.) went online w/o any security and using IE. then again, it was the time of windows 98 and i didnt know of security.

 Went looking for a better WEB browser and downloaded some off the wall one, only to have it detected by SpyBot. Caused all sorts of problems, requiring some major reconfiguration of the Registry, and days of restore to all kinds of files.
Thanks

4.) use kazaa. at first, for whatever reason, i felt uneasy using an unofficial client like k-lite. even if it meant dealing with ads and spyware. its nothing against p2p just teh kazaa program itself.
