Anyone using ghostsurf Platinum 2005? or 2006 - is it better?
Do you use the encrytion pack ?
What is the performance like?
How does it compare to TOR?
Any comments about this product would be great thanks.
Of late my experience has been disappointing lot of difficulty getting active connections

Yes (2005 not platinum)
{QUOTE-> or 2006 - is it better? <-QUOTE}
don't know
{QUOTE-> Do you use the encrytion pack ? <-QUOTE}
no (this feature is something extra for me) I've had problems with updates for AV's etc with it selected

Surfing speed wise it's very good. System resource wise could be better, face a lot of CPU spikes with the proxy.exe

Don't know never used TOR. But compared to JAP (the other free one) it is significantly faster, but I would PAY for JAP and it over ghostsurf if it gave me anything close to my connection speed.

Don't know exactly what you mean by this but I often need to wait and FIDDLE around with it, when I first launch it usually after a reboot (I don't enjoy this but it's probably the price to pay for anonymity) but it's fine once it's running.

just on the encryption pack it doesn't cause any significant slow down when surfing if you select it.
hope this helps
