You are speaking of the Worm Blocking component of NAV 2005. It is just a rudimentary "mini-firewall" borrowed from NIS/NPF {the Norton firewall}; it has no outbound protection, just inbound. When I was using NAV 2005, because I am familiar with Norton firewall, I was able to "tweak" the rules to get the Worm Blocker to make my PC "stealth" all by itself {without Windows firewall, ZoneAlarm, or any other firewall in place}. It may already stealth your box, you can test at GRC Shields-Up: https://grc.com/x/ne.dll?bh0bkyd2

Hmmm; well for now, I would advise you to turn on the Windows firewall. Do you know how to do this? Go to: Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, Security Center. Then at the bottom of Security Center you will see Windows Firewall -- click on that, then check: On (recommended), then click OK. Then go to GRC Shields-UP and test again, you should be stealth. Windows firewall is perfectly compatible with NAV 2005 worm blocking. Oh, I am assuming you are using Windows XP, of course. Hope that helps .. ;)
