Just received this error late this evening. Everything was running great until...

Seems no one has run across this error on the boards, so here are my findings.

Verified system variables and dumped the temp and cache directories. Uninstalled and installed a fresh copy from the site and the error still seems to appear. Though, I did not have time to manually update the signature file, by the way it's stated it seems it would not resolve the issue, but I'll give it a shot this week, sometime.

Did you try pointing the user and system temp/tmp variables to c:\windows\temp? I've come accross a case when a long path was causing the problem.

Marcos, nope. Nod was working great up until this evening.

Since my last post, I just ran an update again and flawlessly updated... without the error. Not sure what is going, nothing was changed. :?

Besides, if, %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temp, is resulting in errors, while attempting to update, would't you think Eset should resolve this issue? Then again, with it successfully updating, it could have been malformed data being sent through the network.
