Hi Guys

Recently I pulled my ATI video card, & replaced it with a BFG video card. The ATI driver required MS netframe software be installed. I think i had one other program requiring netframe, trouble is i can't remember which one (bad memory). This machine is not hooked up to any other machines. Is there an easy way to check if a program is ependent on netframe being installed? I would like to uninstall netframe.

Thanks

Hi,

If i remember right there a two different driver downloads on the ATI site, one that just has the drivers that doesnt need .NET & the control centre version that does need .NET.

.NET is only really needed by a few apps.

if a program needs .net framework, it would say so when u install it or in its system requirements. but like oddbod said, not many do.

Messrs Oddbod, WSFuser,

The ATI card & its driver are not in this machine.

But

I kind of remember one other app needing netframe. I cannot remember which one. Therefore was curious if any application would show, the dependency?

So

I could delete netframe, & not go oops (later) I needed that.

thanks

The software that needs netframe will not work correctly, or may not work at all if you remove netframe.
