Hi,
I was just wondering which is better:
AVG Professional
Avast! Professional
Or Zonealarm Internet Security suite 6.0?
By the way does Avast or AVG have a firewall?
If you choose AVG or Avast! then I will have to purchase a
seperate firewall [Zonealarm pro] :ouch: doesn't matter :thumb:
Thanks,
Henry.

Of the three mentioned and as far as anti-virus abilities go, Avast! Pro is what I would choose.
AVG has a version that is a combo anti-virus and firewall. Avast! does not.
Before spending your money, may I suggest spending a little time reading the anti-virus and firewall forums to see what is working (and not) for other folks. You may find yourself looking at many more programs than those mentioned here.

If you`re only considering those three AV`s, then I`d go with Advast also.

Out of this three, avast! without doubt.

Hi Erik ;)
I NEVER understood the "necessity" of skins for a SECURITY App. LOL.
It's not like I'm looking at it more than a few mins. duh. ;D ;D ;D
But....some ppl like it. Oh well. :)

;D A very generous benefactor has just made it possible for me to use AVAST Pro. I will leave it to these comments and none more, in fear I may once again start a near riot.
Thanks

;D Thus far I am finding it rather easy to use. I have read through quite a few of the threads on this product, and a vast number report it to be very good. A good many of the individuals who post here at Wilders, I respect and value their input, one of the reason I think this forum is perhaps the best one on the WEB. I had use the free version once before, but apparently had it set to the paranoid level which slowed my machine to a crawl so I deleted it, this time however I found the standard setting and have had no such problem. Remember however that it has only been today that I downloaded and installed the Pro version.
Thanks

:) Man talk about a fast download of the VDF files, took 42 seconds, and I am on dial-up, can you imagine what it would have been on DSL or high speed cable? Thus far I am really liking this one.
Thanks
Wildman
