My first thought was "what kind of tool"? Computer tool? General tool for the house? Outdoor tool? Office tool? I was irritated that the question was way too general. Then "lawnmower" popped into my head. As for the color, I chose red because that is my favorite color.

That is a silly test and I can't believe 98% say red hammer. Hammer would have been way, way down on my list of tools. I rarely use one and don't even know if I have one presently. I haven't needed one in years. And since men pick blue as their favorite color (while women pick red), I doubt 98% would pick the color red. I don't believe the purported results for one second.

My fist thought of a color was green or blue, but to be honest I did decide to go with red. I decided the color as fast as I could about 1 second and at the same time thought of a trowel http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=trowel so I guess I'm in the 2% sort of, but not completely, because I did decide to choose the color red, even though I do not like that color, but I didn't choose a hammer for the tool.
