Hi,

I just bought a licence of NOD32 for my new XP-home machine.
But which version to use?
I assume:
for Windows NT/2000/2003/XP - standard 2.50.25
Or should I get this one:
for Windows 2003/XP 64-BIT - standard 2.51.20

Thanks in advance !

Edited to add:
from this page:

Jan

I use standard 2.50.25 on my XP machine. Either version will work though.

OK, thanks Ron ! :D

PS-1:

The components on my W98SE machine are:
Information about installed components
NOD32 For Windows 95/98/ME - Base
Version: 2.50.45
NOD32 for Windows 95/98/ME - Standard component
Version: 2.50.45
NOD32 For Windows 95/98/ME - Internet support
Version: 2.50.45

I guess that I will get things like that also on the XP box; right?

PS-2:

I'm still at the moment on the W98SE-box ;)
Still collecting things to burn on CD's to move over later (for example NOD32; in no way I want that new box connected to the internet without it :)).

Thanks again Ron ! :D

Hm, strange, I see that I have component-versions 2.50.45 and that you have 2.50.25.
Well, I guess that there is an easy explanation for that difference...
I downloaded and re-installed the latest NOD32 on my W98SE box somewhere at the end of last year.

As far as i know the 64x Version determines automatically the target cpu type. There's not much difference between 64x and 32x basically only the lowlevel stuff. That said it should install the proper drivers during install.

Hi Happy Bytes,

CPU type and Windows version are different things.
Well, I guess they are ;)

Well, as you said "it should install the proper drivers during install."

I use the 64bit version on my 32bit system without any problem, because it support both system versions...
