When I check adtech, adtrak, and some others and then "protect against checked items" the check next to those disappears and they remain red.
What's up?

Thanks ???

Are you running Windows 95? Are all of the items that remain red "Cookie" items?

SpywareBlaster's tracking-cookie protection does not work on Windows 95. (If this isn't the case for you, please let me know.)

Can you confirm that it is just some of the cookie items (or perhaps all the cookie items, but not the Spyware items) that are changing back to red/unchecked?

If that is the case, do you have any other type of cookie management software installed? There are cases where other cookie controlling software overrides these settings because that software wants to control those settings in order to work properly - especially active privacy software tools that run in memory all the time.

Yes, it is just some of the cookies. Most go to black. I have Spybot S&D and Spywareguard running as well.

Could you try posting a screenshot or two? I'd be interested to know exactly which items remain red.

TIA. :)
