ewido updates

Since the thirteenth of january ewido has been unable to update itself. I have uninstalled and reinstalled but continue to get error #10054, can someone tell me How to correct this problem. In the mean time I will continue to manually update. Thanks for your support.

Do you use a firewall or a proxy server?
Do you use the 'use proxy' option in the ewido updater module?
