Can you tell me what exactly to put in my email settings under tab server. After much reading, i'm still confused. This is what I currently have:
Incoming Mail Server POP3
Incoming Mail (POP3) shawmail.cg.shawcable.net
Outgoing Mail (SMTP) shawmail.cg.shawcable.net
Account Name XXXXXX
Account password xxxxxxxx
So what exactly do I put in
SMPT server?
Sender address?
Recepient of virus warning and recepient of other event notifications? My email address I assume for both?

In NOD32 you can send notifications to a emailaddress whenever
needed. (if there is a virus found etc.).
If you want to send email with NOd32 you need to setup these things.
Via which emailserver at your provider do you want to send these emails.
Normally this is the outgoing emailserver or SMTP server.
In some/most cases you don't need to enter you username and password
if this server belongs to your access-provider but if this is not the case
or there is any doubt fill this in.
Then: to who do you want to send email if something happens?
That is the recipient of your emailaddress (perhaps your own).
These option is usefull, if you work on several computers, or if you are
using webmail somewhere else.
That way you can see when a virus is found on one of your systems, or your system at home, even if you are in a cybercafe or
looking at your webmail at work etc.
It is also very usefull, if you want to help someone with no security knowledge,
to keep an eye on his pc's regarding virusses etc.
Hope this helps.
thus in this case use: shawmail.cg.shawcable.net as you smtp server
use you username and password.
And enter the emailadres of the one who you like to send these virusinfo etc. to.
One extra thing, sometimes, people set email and silent mode,
that way you only get warnings via email that your license is going to expire. Which can be overlooked that way !

Okay I'm a little slow today. That whole section is for using the option of email notification of warnings. This is not the same as setup for incoming email scanning. Think I'm awake now. Thanks for the explanation.

{QUOTE-> ...This is not the same as setup for incoming email scanning. <-QUOTE}Correct, there are no settings required while using OE, as it uses POP3 protocol.
Cheers ;D
