I am trying to use ATI 9.0 for Linux backups. I am using a computer with Windows 2000 as my OS. Using ATI 9.0 cloning method, The cloning seems to be successful but when I try to use the clone disk, the system is halting with the GRUB showing. I can not enter any inputs at the keyboard. It seems to me that the boot record does not copy when using the cloning method of making a backup disk.

How can I overcome this? How can I put the GRUB boot software onto this cloned disk? I am a novice at best on this. Please give details.

Thanks,

ToyDr

Hello ToyDr,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/).

I'm afraid that you should reinstall the GRUB. Please use the respective documentation on how to perform the GRUB reinstallation.

Thank you.
