1....when I switched on this morning I found a file on my desktop called "%SystemDrive%....why? In it are several other files and I'm scared to delete it. I have done various Virus checks etc. etc. and I have no virus's at all.

2. Outlook Express is playing up. When I try to send or receive emails, it sticks as if there is a problem with my Server. I have spoken to Telewest who took me through various checks and it is not a Telewest related problem. Their final suggestion was to disable my Norton Antivirus/Norton Internet Security and hey presto I was flying again. So.....this problem happens regularly so I am forever having to disable my Internet Security in order to send and receive emails. I have had the programme for almost a year but this problem only started happening in the last few weeks. I have recently installed the XP Updates and am wondering if there is some connection. Saying that, I keep my Updates checked all the time + Live update + Spyware Blaster + SpyBot + Ad-Aware etc. and I am 100% clear.

3. Several programmes are freezing and I then End Programme doesn't work so I can't close down.I receive "IE has experienced a problem and needs to close." "The following addon was running when this problem occurred"
File toolbar.dll
Co.name (not verified) IE Toolbar.
Desc IE toolbar

When I somehow am successful in closing down , it takes forever to close.

I successfully did an automatic XP update recently and now seem to be experiencing several problems since then so I am wondering if there is any connection and are others finding the same??

I am now trying to check on the update site yet again and keep getting the following.....
"IE has experienced a problem and needs to close"
"The following addon was running when this problem occurred".
File toolbar.dll
Co.name (not verified) IE Toolbar
Desc. IE

I checked for Application Errors and Hangings yesterday with Event Viewer and there was a HUGE long list there for both! Thats not good.

I checked the File System for errors using System File Checker and there were no problems.

I plan to do a system restore in a minute but that is then the limit of what I know to do so I need some help. I have noticed a
