does processguard prevent protected "applications" from being scanned by an antivirus program when running a manual scan?

Hi redwolfe_98.
I always disable all my security appz (providing i'm offline) when doing scans etc. just in case something is blocked,(I find that they scan quicker aswell ;) ). As for PG,i think that it would block some running services etc from being read, same for physical memory,if you haven't given your anti-virus the permissions to do so.

Typical AV (KAV, NOD32) open files with kernel access, I think both KAV and NOD32 will run and clean things without actually giving any access to any component ;) They are just an interface attached to the driver which is doing all the important work, in kernel mode. PG won't stop this, it knows not to :)
