Global Startup protection...?

How can we be protected from Global Startup entry?
In Hijacthis it appears as
04 - Global Startup

[TopperID]

This refers to the Startup folders at:-

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

RD does not protect against non-registry startup locations. However some realtime AS programs will monitor them, and I beleive that MJ Reg Watcher will also poll them.
