Hi jeanray,

Getting a popup-blocker like the one from Panicware is one way, but there are several kinds of popups.
Roughly three categories.

Messenger spam: cure (http://www.lavasoftsupport.com/index.php?showtopic=724) or block them with your firewall.

Popups from sites you visit:
PopUpStopper will work great, as will other programs like it.

Popups caused by spyware installed on your computer:
Spybot S&D or AdAware (http://lavasoft.element5.com/software/adaware/) will be able to remove most of the culprits.

HTH,

Pieter
