Hi,
I bought an HP computer from a retail store on 1/04 with the extended service plan. The hard drive has failed with a S.M.A.R.T. error message. I returned the computer for repairs. They replaced the original hard drive, Maxtor 160GB Ultra ATA133 (DiamondMax Plus9 6Y160P0), for a Seagate 160GB Ultra ATA100 (Barracuda 7200.7 Plus ST3160023A). I didn't notice that it was replaced for UATA 100 until I got home. Is it a big difference from the UATA100 and UATA133? Should I make a big fuss about it? I went back and they said it really shouldn't be a noticable diffrence and would be at least 3-4 weeks before they could work on it again. I do video encoding and editing sometimes. What should I do? Thanks.
