I just got done reformatting my PC earlier today and I installed my video card driver and sound driver and then I installed the necessary Windows Updates. I then installed NOD32 for my antivirus and Spy Sweeper for my antispyware and I installed the programs that I will be using on my computer. For some reason, Internet Explorer seems to be taking a few seconds to start. I've never noticed this problem before.

Is there anyway I can speed up the time it takes for Internet Explorer to start? I did run a defrag and cleared the cache, etc of Internet Explorer with a program called Privacy Guardian.

Thanks, hope you all can offer some help :)

It may be due to SpySweeper. ?.?

Yes, to elaborate a bit further, there have been reports that SS [4.5 I think] is slowing some PCs down a bit, some even say drastically. I've read a thread at DSL BBR forum stating this. Some of course have seen no changes.

this is presuming you have SSs 'Active' Real Time protection turned on, guarding IE, etc. IF not, then that is not the reason of course.

Oh ok, because I never experienced this problem using any version even this one of Spy Sweeper right before I decided to reformat. But I do appreciate the information... hopefully Webroot the company who makes Spy Sweeper will fix the problem.

Thanks :),
