Hello,

I have read that there will be major changes to the world of Kernel-mode drivers when Windows Vista comes out.

Will Process Guard be compatible with Vista?

Will Process Guard even be necessary on Vista?

Thanks,
Rich S.

see the following response:
-{ Quote: "Hi,

Microsoft do not approve of modifications of the kernel and deliberately block these changes in x64. We are investigating many things including ways to protect WITHOUT breaking these guidelines. Software cannot wear the Designed for Windows XP logo for instance, when breaking these guidelines.

We are looking at various options and may support x64 at some time. We will not rule it out completely." }-

At this time, PG already supports 32bit VISTA beta versions - everything works 100% EXCEPT for :

Execution hooking - completely broken due to changes in the process loader etc

Secure Message Handling - DON'T try this. This will freeze the application you enable it for.

Everything else seems to work :)

Hmm...I'm going to 64bit XP Pro not to Vista probably ever as that is DRM and my computer will be owned not by me. Plus, I'm not about to buy the required new monitor when I have an excellent two year old flat panel 19" LCD. So, too bad PG won't work with 64bit. I'm not moving until Vista is out but at that time I will.
