At the time there was talk of a new version being developed but as far as I know that has not yet appeared.

I agree, I thought it was a nice firewall myself and liked RedDwarfs input. He was able to give some good input as to it's use.
I tried to contact the author but he doesn't understand English very well I think.

I wanted to know if any more has been done with it.
