Hi all,

I am newbies of TI and trying to restore image under BartPE. Here are the steps i used:

1. Boot to BartPE CD.
2. Use DiskPart to create new partition and set it active. Exit Diskpart.

3. Map a new drive where all images are stored.
4. Launch Trueimage plugins, select the image, select the partition.
5. Select the destination partition that i made in step 2.

Then i get an error saying my partition is in use and ask me to reboot or select another partition.

There is no other program running and it seems to me it is TrueImage who is using the partition.

Any suggestions?

TI does all the required partitioning as part of its restore. My guess is that you should NOT run any other program after booting from BartPE other than the Acronis plug-in. The disk partitioning program is probably busying out TI when you try to run it.

Try that.

It succeed if i wipe the whole hard drive and restore from scratch.

However, my servers typically have 2 partitions:
C: system
D: data
and i use monthly TI for C: and daily veritas for D:

If my system crashed and i want to restore C: from TI while keeping data in D untouched, i would expect i can restore the image back to the existing C: partition, how does TI deal with this?

Thanks.
