When trying to restore files or folders I get the message "file cannot be accessed" or "file not found" even though it shows up in windows explorer. I have the latest version. What is the fix?

Hello kleinert,
Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/).
Assuming that you have mounted your image archive as a virtual drive, I would recommend you to take a look at this FAQ article (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/faq.html#22) explaining the possible reasons and resolutions for this problem.
If the solution suggested in the respective Microsoft Knowledge Base article does not help then you can also try becoming NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM on Windows 2000/XP/2003 (http://computing.fnal.gov/security/cookbook/LocalSystem.html) as a possible workaround.
Please also note that this problem is not related to Acronis software, but to some Windows peculiarities.
If that's not the case then please provide us with the more detailed information on the problem:
- Find the full version name and build number by going to Help -> About... menu in the main program window and let us know them;
- Provide the exact text of the error message you have received;
- When exactly have you received this error message?
- What operating system you use?
- Describe actions taken before the problem appears step-by-step.
Thank you.
