Surfing the web for Anti-virus Top Ten reviews confuses me...:o different results (especially the top 0ne) from different sites, ::) they all looks reliable and believable if you only saw their site. :-[
What can you recommend...::) is it really reliable? ???

An AV-Expert like IBK should answer your question;)
I know the answer, but i'm not an expert so my opinion is useless:P

That's an amusing one.
1) Where is Kapersky
2) The "Web mail protection"...it shows NOD32 doesn't have one? I'd think that falls under the IMON module, in which case yes it does protect webmail.

Just ignore any magazine reviews.
The tester will have his hole stuffed with cash and write a review according to the amount stuffed up there.

In general, most reviews are either biased or not well done.
Best way to get a feel for things is to regularly monitor 1 or 2 active forums on a particular topic
Over time, you will find folkes who tend to be more objective/knowledgeable than most.

I fully agree. TopTenReviews.com aren't objective. Money is their main goal.
I never saw a freeware either in their so called tests.

-{ Quote: "What can you recommend...::) is it really reliable?" }-I can recommend AV-Comparatives (http://www.av-comparatives.org/) and ... YES --- it is really reliable.
But that site does NOT do a *Top Ten* as such. In any event, for anyone to designate a specific Top Ten (listed 1,2,3 etc) is absurd. What is Top Ten for my needs may not be Top Ten for your needs.
There are *really great* AVs (such as NOD32, BitDefender, Kaspersky, DrWeb, VBA32, etc), and there are *fairly adequate* AVs (such as EZ, AVG, etc), and there are *don't waste your money* AVs (such as QuickHeal, ViRobot, etc). The best use of a a good testing site, such as AV-Comp, is to help you determine which AVs fit into the *really great* GROUP.
Within the *really great* group, you simply have to do your own trials and then decide which AV best suits YOUR needs and preferences. (When I say "do your own trials" I mean you should try a program for features and fit, how well it runs on YOUR computer, and so forth. I do NOT mean that you should try to test a program's protection against specific threats -- such tests are best left to the experts such as AV-Comp.)

AVG 3° is a joke...
NOD32 9° is a joke...
No Kaspersky is a joke...
All tests are jokes
Ridiculous!
www.virus.gr can be good...
www.av-test.org can be good
www.av-comparatives.org can be good...
Other are suspect!
(My opinion)

Regarding your link, what I find interesting is how well Bit Defender 8 did compared to NOD32, especially since now we have Bit Defender 9. I wonder how Bit Defender 9 would compare against NOD32?

BitDefender is a good AV, don't get caught up in the cheerleading for anyones particular pet AV, users almost always recommend what they use (& often are selling) the simple fact is that if you use any of these:
BitDefender, McAfee, Kaspersky, DrWeb, Panda, Nod32, there are more, you will as a normal risk user/surfer be well protected, you choose AV you like, which suits your needs and you feel comfortable with.:)

-{ Quote: "I wonder how Bit Defender 9 would compare against NOD32?" }-Just hang on until AV-Comp does an update. OR... you can flip a coin. BitDefender is heads. NOD32 is tails. Heads you win -- Tails you still win. :D
Seriously though, both BD & NOD are among *the greats.* As said before by me & by Don Pelotas -- you just have to try them out for yourself.
