Sockets??

Reading the "Tips" file in TDS3, I see that it advises that if your machine has minimal resources, then run minimal sockets.
Ok, what does that mean?
What are the sockets?
How do you, "run minimal sockets"?
What affect will it have on my pc's performance if I do run minimal sockets?
I'm getting a bit low on HD space (500mb left) so do *I qualify as minimal resources?

Sockets refers to the ability of TDS to listen on certain trojan ports. *If you click on the icon, you will see sockets at the top right of your screen.
This is probably best to be left handled by your firewall.
Resources, rwally refer to memory and not disk physical space.

If TDS is listening on those "certain trojan ports" are those ports then open?

That sounds an awful lot like a zen koan :)

If the socket feature is configured for use than those ports are in fact open, in that a process is listening on those ports, but of course it is TDS that is listening and not the associated trojan.
