I saw the following in my event log today.

What does this mean?

Can you put that in layman's terms?
Do I have any reason to be concerned?

{QUOTE-> Can you put that in layman's terms? <-QUOTE}In layman’s terms it means that Nod32 is unable to connect to the servers to update and it is advising you of such. There are many reasons for this error, such as a Wireless connection still establishing its connection, or a USB Broadband Modem (http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=110695&highlight=gethostbyname+11001) still establishing a connection while Nod32 attempts to update...
{QUOTE-> Do I have any reason to be concerned? <-QUOTE}In short, no, so long as Nod32 does actually update (I would need to see further logs to confirm this).
Hope this helps...
Cheers ;D

That makes sense. While I unisntalled and re-installed some other security programs I use (took off Spywareguard, downloaded new version of Spybot and implemented the tea timer), I had my internet activity shut down.
Case closed, thanks.
