View Full Version : T9 Fatal Error can't restart Win98 - Help!!

I started Trueimage v9 (build 2247 demo) on Win98 machine to clone HD - C: to D: After selecting source and destination, using automatic clone setting, I started (next). I got a fatal error message and my machine lock-up completely! I had to do a hard shut down. I now can not start up my machine. It goes through the boot sequence, then presents the screen "it is now safe to shut down your computer".

How do I get back to be able to boot my system?

Thank you,

Sam

Hopefully the C: drive is still o.k. and Windows has just become confused by the presence of a second, partially cloned, boot drive. Try disconnecting the D: drive and see if your system can then boot from the C: drive.

Before you even think of using TI 9 again, uninstall build 2247, download and install the latest release (2323) and then create a new bootable rescue CD.
