View Full Version : NOD32 FP when Installing Registry Mechanic 5.1.0.224

Just updated to 5.1.0.224 of Registry Mechanic today. When installing, it (NOD32) seems to block the creation of Update.exe in the installation folder and also indicates (after the install) that there were suspicious files found. However, these files were both in the temp folders as a result of the install.
If I turn off AMON before the install it works fine (the install). RM 5.1 seems to work OK even after the error msgs during the install, so the install seems to have worked OK. But I'm sure this is a FP.
I have submitted the files (as requested by NOD32) already to Eset. Yeah, signatures and program are uptodate, BTW.

Did you add the comment regarding the FP situation?

perhaps a little OT, but from your latest avatar Happy Bytes I can finally see just why it is that you are so happy....and perhaps it doesn't have as much to do with beer as I previously thought it might :P ;D

Before i post a desktop snapshot, there's a "small" story behind it.
Somehow i used for quite some time a desktop wallpaper from Shark Computers (Local Computer Store here - it was preinstalled on this machine) with a blond woman, because it looked real cool and "stylish"... So far so good...
Somehow 2 weeks ago my wife started the machine at home during the time when i was still at work (she didn't do that so far) and found (or better recognized) the blue desktop wallpaper with with this blonde girl...
...and of course called me at work and big drama - you can imagine how womans are - "Who is this girl", "What is she doing in your computer" etc ::)
So basically she told me that she does not like it when i have "unknown sexy girls" as wallpaper. I told her that it's not the girl itself why i keept this picture as wallpaper it's the fact that this wallpaper looks somehow stylish with this cool blue and tv scanlines... ::)
Of course she didn't believe me and told me you put up my picture or no other girls picture... :o
Here is the original Shark Picture attached (resized for forum) that you can see about what she complained... ;D
...story contines in next reply with next picture :P

I can understand the confusion that may have been caused by that HB...No harm done, and now you've had a wallpaper upgrade as well :)

Oh, wow. So that really is your wife. That could explain why I couldn't find her at the Trend Micro website.
