Hello I already own a copy of TDS and was considering purchasing two more copies. First I need a question answered however. The question is this- Is the upgrade from TDS 3 to TDS 4 free. My first copy of TDS was part of a combo package and it states that the upgrade to TDS 4 is free. However the TDS 3 stand alone version only mentions that all TDS 3 upgrades are free. So is the upgrade to TDS 4 considered a TDS 3 upgrade. Silly I know but it never hurts to be sure.

Also after the upgrade to TDS 4 will all updates-including radius-remain free as well as continuing to have a non-expiry clause. Also will there continue to be no renewal fees. If not how can you afford to operate.

Another question I also plan on running nod32 with these three trojan scanners will there be any problems I should know about. Isnt nod32 associated with TDS in some way.

TIA

Just read ponders post about the TDS 3 to TDS 4 upgrade. And read Pilli's what works with TDS post. So two questions down now how about this last question getting answered.

Also after the upgrade to TDS 4 will all updates-including radius-remain free as well as continuing to have a non-expiry clause. Also will there continue to be no renewal fees. If not how can you afford to operate.

Hello Ten & welcome, Any licensed version of TDS3 qualifies for the TDS4 upgrade & daily radius updates. ;D

We also know that WG3 to WG4 will also be a free upgrade & that WG4 will include a regular update facility again with free updates.

No compatibility problems ;)

No association - two separate companies.

Thank you for your response Wilder. You wouldnt happen to be the same Wilder in Wilder Security would you...I bet you are, whats the answer to the following question Wilder, Pilli it doesnt seem to be getting any attention.

"Also after the upgrade to TDS 4 will all updates-including radius-remain free as well as continuing to have a non-expiry clause. Also will there continue to be no renewal fees. If not how can you afford to operate."

P.S. Wilder love the forums, the reason I wondered about the association between TDS and nod32 was in fact because both tie into Wilder Security. It seems I believed your forums were a extension of TDS so linked nod32 when some people recommeded that I ask some nod32 questions I had at Wilders Security. Anyway could someone get back to me on the above question.

TIA

Well, Only Wayne can truly answer that but my guess is that DCS is in a fast expanding market & can afford to give loyal customers these services, certainly for the release of TDS4 & WG4 - A good marketing technique for the future?

Pilli answered that one quite nicely in the meanwhile.

We do host support forums for top notch security software over on this board - for free, no strings attached. A matter of long time policy: we are non profit all the way. Hope this does take care of your confusion ;)

Yes, if you have a license for TDS3 you'll be able to upgrade it to TDS4 at no charge.
