Just thought I would let everyone know of my success.
I was able to clone a Western Digital PATA HDD to a Western Digital SATA.
Both are 80 Gig, 7200 RPM, 8 Meg cache.
The PATA had 14.6 Gigs used.
Motherboard is Asus P4P800 SE.
CPU is Intel Northwood socket 478 2.8 GHz, not overclocked.
The cloning went through smoothly and took about 20 minutes.
The PATA HDD is/was very quiet but the new SATA HDD is TOTALLY silent.
