I attempted to increase the size of my c drive this morning. I wanted to utilize the free space I had in front of the existing c drive. I loaded up Disk Director Suite 10 that I purchased last week and selected the resize option.
The program told me to reboot and upon rebooting I get a "cant find hal.dll" error. Upon using the XP CD to boot into the recovery console I see that my C:\Windows\system folder is almost empty.
How can I resolve this error? By the way, I have completed similar operations with Partition Magic 8 numerous time and never lost critical OS files like this before.
Thanks
RK
