Defrag in safe mode save GoBack times?

I was thinking of running Windows xp defrag in safe mode because I heard that could keep GoBack 4 from losing its go back times. Does anybody know for sure if this would protect the GoBack times and keep me from losing them during a defrag? Thanks if anybody knows if this would work.

Don't know for sure, but not sure why safe mode would make any difference.
What causes Goback to lose it's history is the massive data movement. Not sure why safemode would make any difference.
