Fallout from the BS Eolas Technologies patent suit, I guess. A real shame and bother if you ask me. I thought that when the W3C weighed-in with their prior art claims, that would have driven the wooden stake through this vampire... but no some Patent Office lackey must have been paid off. If Microsoft ends up changing their browser a bit, I bet others may have to as well. No one else uses ActiveX (I don't think), but I believe the Eolas case also covers certain useage of Java applets as well.

I doubt many here use IE. Am I wrong?
