View Full Version : Can not install Trial

I have downloaded the trial of Diskdirector.
When I start the installation i get the following error message:

Failed to read file "AcronisDiskdirector.msi"

I was just about to purchase the product, but I feel lucky I did not pay for something that dont even install.

I'm in worse shape: I ordered the combo DiskDirector 10 + True Image 9.
TI-9 downloads OK, but the 58 meg DD-10 gets interrupted by the Acronis server at anywhere from 72% to 91% completion & never loads.

I've tried 5 times to download. Complaining, Acronis provided an alternate download link, but it has the same problem. Their server apparently lacks the common resume capability.

My dialup ISP assures me that they have no time or quantity limit to my downloads.

20 -25 hours of computer time wasted.

What a bummer!!

After registering you will always be able to download the latest build of Acronis Disk Director Suite 10.0 from Product Updates section (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/support/updates/) of your account.

Please disable any download managers, internet download/connection boosters, etc. before the download.

If you still cannot download the software then please submit a request for technical support (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/my/support/). Please provide the information about your purchase of Acronis software (order number, e-mail, etc.) in the request along with the link to this thread. We will investigate the problem and try to provide you with the solution.

I registered my DD-10 purchase, as requested. Unfortunately, there is no update to this program.
Hence, I still can't download it (Your server at DigitalRiver resets before the download is complete. That server lacks the common resume feature)

After you logon at the Acronis website, you need to follow the 2nd link under "My Account", on the left: "Registered Products", then click on the appropriate link in the middle of the page. You should then get a display of your serial number, your registration date and a link to "Download installation file if you lost your copy of the program. (File size: 58.31 Mb)"
