View Full Version : AppDefend=ProcessGuard+BlackIcePC Protection ??

I am using process guard(full) anf ISS BlackIce PC Protection(full,with application control and communication control ON).I think the combination of both is equivalent to AppDefend more or less. Am I right? Please comment.

No, you need to buy AD right away. You are leaving yourself wide open to catastrophe if you dont protect with AD.

GSS is comprised of two modules at the moment, RegDefend and AppDefend - Between them thay give awsome protection. AppDefend does overlap with ProcessGuard in a few ways but is conceptually different in it's mode of operation.
Blackice is an IDS and is not reallycomparable to either RegDefend or AppDefend which are both basically system protections and not an IDS type firewall.
