I tried to copy a CD using Nero Start Smart, but was unable to burn it. I got the message burn stopped at 8x(1,200 KB/s). CD copied from and used is Mosebaer Pro 52x Recordable. The CD to be written was a new one. I wasted about 4 CDs. I also tried buring at a lower speed, but had the same result.
Source drive : H - Samsung DVD-ROM SD-616F
Destination drive : I - LG CD-RW CED 8080B (CD-R/RW)
Is is possible for anyone to help me out. I am able to copy other CDs.
Regards.

Maybe you burner doesn't support Moser Baer, i assume this is the cd brand? (they don't have the best reputation btw).:)

Moser Baer is OEM to comapnies like Imation, HP and others.....
I too have been having problems with Nero. Every time I try to do a CD-to-CD direct copy, I get an error like this - "Could not perform end of Disk-At-Once" :-\
I checked the drive and its connections - Its brand new (just about 14 days since purchasing).
I tried Moser Baer, HP (also made by Moser Baer), and Maxell media and all failed.....:(

Moser Baer, of course :-[. Still not a very good rep though.

Even if the drive is new, it's no guarantee that the drive can use any cd, best advice is to use cd brands like Verbatim, Fuji etc, usually these are some of the brands drive makers test the drive/firmware with. You can of course check if your drive manufacturer has a newer firmware these often include capability to use more types of cd/dvd.:)
P.s. You should try to uncheck "Quick copy" when you copy cd's so it writes to the HD first instead of direct.

Hi everyone,
This is the first time I have had this problem with Moser Baer CDs. I have had no problem for the last 10 years with Moser Baer CDs. Even the cheap CD are usually written without any problem. I even unchecked quick copy. Inspite of which I had this problem.

Hello everyone,
There was no problem with the blank CD. It was with the CD that to be copied from. It was not done properly.
Thanks for your help.

Set the burn speed to 4x. If problem persists, then cache the data to the HDD BEFORE transferring to CD. Possible throughput problem when you burn-on-the-fly.
