I have used Nod32 for the last two years successfully. I renewed the license in November 2002 because it's the best AV I've found. I installed it the other day on top of version 1 and had some minor issues so yesterday I uninstalled it, cleaned the registry, and deleted all the folders. I reinstalled it and it works fine except....I have it set to check every couple of hours for an update. I checked today to see if it had updated and noticed the log showed "update attempt terminated with error (Incorrect username or password)." I copied and pasted (again) my username and password and was able to manually update it. What is up with that? I'm running XP Pro.

They had problems with the servers that supply the updates. This problem started around 10:24 AM on June 23, 2003. The problem has since been corrected. It was as far as I could tell a problem with authentication. Also check to make sure your password is entered just as you recieved it. If its uppercase letters or lowercase letters and or numbers make sure it is exact or you will have problems.

Hi Jazzgirl,
if you are still having problems, please write to Eset support - the contact info is on the www.nod32.com.
Thanks, :)

Thanks to both of you. After I posted the note I re-entered (copied and pasted from my licensing e-mail) the username and password I got from Eset. I was able to update then. I also noticed a few other postings about the server issues they had. I do like the new version and have been reading about the development for months. Its still as sleak and slick as ever!
