Not sure if this topic is in the right category, but......
While using jv16 power tools, An unknown registry entry came up as follows:

Author : Persist
Software : 37245-81877-37952

However I do not know whether to delete it - there is no known software on my system that it relates to.
Therefore I dont know if its important or a security compromise! I have already backed up the registry before I started cleaning iot - an using jv16 power tools, and as yet their forum has not come up with any possible answer!!

After searching on the Net there is a Persist Corporation but they replied as follows:
The registry entry that you found on your PC is unlikely to be related to our software, which is sold to corporations.

You can find more information about our company at: www.persistcorp.com

Anybody have any suggestions or advice!?
Thanks

HI mcville80,

Welcome to the forum!

I did a quick search for your issue but didn't find anything substantive(or rather, found too much to wade through effectively :) )

Have you tried scanning your system with spyware/adware protection utils?

If not you might want to try

AdAware from

http://www.lavasoft.de/support/download/

or Spybot Search & Destroy from

http://security.kolla.de/

Hope this helps,

Dan
